Encoder Versions of
MacCaption (Mac) & CaptionMaker (Win)
The Encoder versions
do not have any capability to prepare time stamped
caption files from raw script. You need a prepared time
stamped caption file from a different source (e. g., CPC *.cap,
DVD *.scc, Cheetah *.cap or *.asc. Ultech .ult etc.).
With the
encoder version, you can caption or subtitle all digital videos
directly on the hard drive without using any external captioning
or subtitling hardware.
Use the encoder
versions to encode captions/subtitles on the video. Click

Mac to see
the capabilities of Encoder versions.
Depending on the
Classic/DV/NLE/DTV/HD Enterprise version of the encoding software, you have
different options available to you.

You may also download our Windows or Mac
demo
software and try it out
yourself. The demo software has all the features of the licensed
version with some limitations. To
protect the software,
we
replace a few characters in each captions
with "?" marks and limit the total number of captions to around
25.
